I went to the Olympic Equestrian events last night again. This one was pretty cool, I got to see an award ceremony too! USA came in 4th just one point behind 3rd..... it would have been nice if they placed.... But on sunday when I went I noticed that people had flags and were supporting their country, it must be more relaxed in Hong Kong. So I went to the Stanley market the other day with Katy and we saw American Flag ties so we bought those and we also found these belts with buckles with flashing signs that you can program so we got those too, so yesterday we wore our flag ties and belts that flashed USA! hahaha I also wore camo pants, I look very American (I even bought Budwiser to drink in the stands). Next Thursday I see the jumping events, that should be cool.

Hi Meghan,
A girl named Gina Miles is one of the equestrian athletes from San Luis Obispo, CA, where Marla is from. I have no idea what events she'll be in, but at least you have a name to root for.
I like the sound of those belts.

Hi Meg: Sounds like the Olympic events have been enjoyable. Yor're really lucky to be going to a total of three events.
I took Grandpa Da fishing on Lake Erie this weekend with a guide. This was his father's day gift and we were rained out the last two times. We had a good time, but the winds really picked up and it got very choppy. Some of the waves were 6 to 7 feet and we did alot of bouncing around and it did affect the fishing somewhat, but we did OK. Grandpa caught 7 small mouth bass and 2 sheepheads. The one sheephead had to way about 7 lbs. They're bottom feeders so you would never eat them and we threw all the bass back as well. I caught 6 smallmouth bass and one sheephead. Although Grandpa caught a few more fish then me, I had the biggest bass which probably weighed just about 5 lbs. It was the biggest bass I ever caught and was alot of fun. I also lost one at the boat and another one broke water and I lost that one as well. When we were driving in the boat heading into the waves, the water was really splashing and you couldn't see over the bow. I was laughing the entire time because it felt like a big rollercoaster to me. I don't think Grandpa enjoyed the ride as much as I did.
Greg and Marla are coming in for a week stay on Wed. and we're looking forward to seeing them. I bet you're looking forward to seeing your mom, dad and Emma. It should be alot of fun.
Take care of yourself and keep the blog and pictures coming.
Love,
Uncle Mark
