went ot the hospital in the city yesterday to try and get better medications. They gave me stronger antibiotics and stronger painkillers. I am still in a lot of pain though, even with the new painkillers. I did find a dentist that would take me on tuesday at noon, so hopefully I will be getting the tooth out sometime this week. I don't know if I can take this pain any longer, so I'm going to push for as soo as possible.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while and certainly sorry to hear that you're having such a problem with your wisdom tooth. I was at your mom's yesterday saying goodbye to Shawn when you called. It seemed like the antibiotics were definitely helping, but I hope you're able to have the tooth out soon so you can begin feeling normal again.

These updates you provide have been wonderful and I can only imagine how much your brain must be absorbing over this period of time, plus the unbelievable physical shape you must be in. I would take you and Eric over Shawn (sorry Shawn, these two have been doing some incredible physical activity). Maybe after 6 months into his journey, Shawn will be able to match the both of you. I can't rip Shawn to hard because he left us access to his DVD collection while he is gone.

Not sure how much you or your dad has kept you updated on the Bills, but they're off to a great start, winning their first two games against playoff caliber opponents (Seattle @ home, Jacksonvill away). They have Oakland at home this week which is definitely a winnable game. As a matter of fact their next three games are against underachievers and it's possible they could be 5 - 0 by their BYE week, but we better just take each game one at a time. I would guess you probably miss watching the games in your local Keuka bar with your friends. As far as you know, there are probably a few remaining, including the friends we met at that hosted the graduation party.

I have to have some surgery two weeks from today (OCt. 1st). I need to have one of my parathyroid's removed. Apparently there is a cyst on it (99% sure it's not cancerous) and the cycst is causing an imbalance of calcium in my body. As each of us has 4 parathyroids, the other three should pick up the load and my calcium levels should again be balanced. I'll be in overnight and most likely would return to work on the following Monday. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with my thyroid removal, but it will be my second surgery on my neck.

Please let me know if there's anything special I can send you or is there any news items I should e-mail to you. Earlier this summer, my buddy approached me with Warped Tour tickets for you. I told him that unless they were playing in China, they wouldn't do any good.

Take care of yourself. I know that Grandpa would post more messages, but it's somewhat of a difficult system that requires my assistance. Next time I'm at his house, I'll have him post a message as well. We both wish you the best, hope things go extremely well with your tooth surgery and we hear from you soon.

Love,

Uncle Mark
